We used photoshop action to record an action and have started to crate a poly art version of this robin, its a slow process but by the end it will look good, trust me my dudes.
The triangles had to be back to back and always conjoined by lines/their edges and the triangles cannot start in the middle of one, i chose to do smaller triangles that is why the poly isnt noticeable just yet.
We learnt the important and use of masking and mask layers, we demonstrated these in both a destructive and non destructive manner when we replaced the sky in a cityscape with a gradient tool version of our own choice and editing.
A mask for the selections was needed for this – as you can see in the layers, a mask was used to select the parts of the image that we wanted to edit and the part that we wanted to just to be visible enough. Theres a background layer which we never work on so we can always go back so it is duplicated and a separate layer for the gradient.

Using the spot healing tool on a transparent layer above the picture and sampled all layers so that we could fix blemishes and keep the picture stable – this is non destructive version, the destructive version would use the tool straight on the picture, making it irreversible.

Once again the non destructive use of layers is needed to get rid of these creases on the photo of the photo

We were taught about adjustment layers in photoshop and how to use them both destructively and non destructively. The first picture of the mini was a destructive use of adjustment layers since it was applied straight to the photo itself once selected and then the colour filter was used meaning the picture couldn’t be restored to its previous state if desired.
The second mini was non destructive, a mask was used and instead of adding directly onto the picture colour was applied on a layer above this then the colour filter was applied.
